Annual Giving Campaign

As a strong believer in the importance of Girl Scouts, we would like to give you the opportunity to participate in our Annual Giving Campaign.

Your annual gift will be used to purchase items for Camp Nawakwa such as personal floatation devices, outdoor cooking equipment, paddle boats, tents, mountain bikes, and project supplies. It will also provide financial assistance to girls who cannot otherwise join Girl Scouts.

Thousands of young girls are counting on you. Please lend a hand – your hand – to help our girls grow strong.

Top 10 Ways to Leave a Legacy
1
Prepare a will. Only 50% of those who pass away have one. Without it, you may lose control of possessions you worked a lifetime to acquire.
2
Leave a gift in your will for a charitable organization that made a difference in your life, like the Girl Scouts of Indian Waters Council. About 8% of American households have included a nonprofit organization in an estate plan.
3
Leave a specific dollar amount or percentage of the assets in your will to Girl Scouts of Indian Waters Council.
4
Consider using assets for your charitable gift. These may include: stocks, bonds, certificates of deposit, real estate, vehicles, art and jewelry. Such gifts may even provide tax savings.
5
Name Girl Scouts of Indian Waters Council as the beneficiary of your IRA or pension plan.
6
Purchase a new life insurance policy naming Girl Scouts of Indian Waters Council as the beneficiary.
7
Name Girl Scouts of Indian Waters Council as the beneficiary of an existing policy.
8
Encourage family members and friends to leave legacy gifts.
9
Ask you financial advisor to include charitable giving as apart of their council to others.
